One of my greatest weaknesses is pizza. I LOVE Pizza! :D
I've had all sorts of pizzas: white pizza, barbecue pizza, steak and cheese with ranch dressing, Greek Pizza, Garbage Pizza, Square Pizza, Round Pizza, Folded Pizza...
...but my favorite combination is has always been Peperoni and Green Olives.
What type of Pizza do you like to eat? |

| I'm a vegetarian so definately don't go for the meats. I've had tons of different veggies combos, including some strange ones... the only veggies I really don't like on pizza (sorry David) are olives. My favorites include mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, brocoli, spinach, and fresh garlic. When well done I also tend to prefer Chicago style deep dish... although thin, NY cheese is absoluetly fantastic as well. |

My preferred type of pizza is NY thin crust, being as I grew up in NJ.
As for ingredients, when I make my own pizzas, one of the most important elements is fresh mozzarella. It really makes a big difference.
About toppings: I've had all sorts of toppings - I'd say it depends on what I feel like having. My tastes are "typical American guy", for the most part. |

| For pizza, I am very happy with the all veggie toppings but when I want to splurge, it's Sausage and Mushrooms only. Either deep dish or thick crust. |

| What's REALLY dangerous is there is a Felini's Pizza within 30 seconds walking distance from my front door. Lately I've beet getting the Fellini's special with Meatballs, Sausage, Pepperoni, Onions, Green Peppers, Green Olives, Black Olives, Mushrooms and fresh Mozarella. A BIG slice is only like $2.85. I really need to start cooking more, but I have this weakness. :? :D |

I adore a good pizza.....but it has to be good!
My favourite is the 'woodfired' variety, inone of those traditional clay ovens, in the backyard of many Italian households.
Toppings, I also like them simple wih top ingredients. My recent favourite? Caesar pizza with bacons, eggs, anchovies, Romain lettuce  , dressing & fresh shavings of Parmasan.
This is from a cool place call Bimbo's.......a cool lounge/bar in the middle of our favourite hangout area. They do creative woodfired pizzas all day/night, but lunch time on weekdays all pizzas are $3 each (a whole one, not a slice)!
Needless to say, you'd find all the regulars of my local salsa scene there 8) ! |

| Two words to describe pizza in Japan: wimpy and expensive, so I make it myself. Whole wheat crust(thick, because the dough is fabulous!), garlic & herb sauce, topped with mozarella, green peppers, onions, anchovies and fresh tomato slices afterwards. I occasionally put some ground beef on top, too! I LOVE pizza with chipotle peppers(adobo sauce), serranos or jalapenos and I slice them up and put them on after the pizza's cooked! |

| Oh David, I hear you! I could eat pizza every night- and with so many ways to make it, it could be a new taste sensation every night, couldn't it! I find, since I have to watch m yweight these days, that I just love peppers and onions (with extra cheese though oops) on all types of my pizzas. Used to eat pepperoni and sausage, before weight watching days, but I honestly don't even miss that anymore. In fact, it seems way too greasy now and lays heavy in my tummy if I indulge, so I'm double happy with pizza now (as if I needed to enjoy it any more anyway!) :D |

I loooovve pizza! Any and every topping imaginable, even jalepeno peppers when I'm feeling in the mood.
I even have a friend who manages my local big pizza franchise store, so I can get a bit of a discount. Why bother making it yourself?? |

Fair enough cocodrilo... your pizza may, indeed, be the exception to the rule. :P
I assume you can make yours vegetarian for me? ...hopefully I can take you up on the tasting sometime... but the commute *is* a bit extreme to go out for some food. ...even for "exception to the rule pizza."   |

OF COURSE I can make a vegetarian pizza! I actually prefer vegetarian, as the chees is more than enough protein for me! But whole wheat crust, now THAT'S the best part! Do your take-outs over there offer pizzas made with whole-wheat pizza dough?
Regarding the distance factor- wouldn't it be cool to say to your friends when you got back "Yeah, I had to fly to Japan to eat pizza!" |

Most pizza places here don't offer whole wheat unfortunately... either the take-outs or the dine ins. A few do, however, and it is *very* yummy indeed!
As far as the distance factor -- of course that'd be cool! ...which is why I'll do it as soon as I win the lottery!*
* Don't wory SC, that will, of course, be on my way down under to see you and sample your cooking as well! :D |
