The Wine Opener is a national wine tasting series to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Beginning in 2003, 14 markets across the country, from San Diego to Atlanta, will be hosting a Wine Opener. More than 25 chapters are expected to hold a Wine Opener in 2004. Orlando will be holding their Wine Opener on Saturday, October 16, 2004 at the Mercedes-Benz of South Orlando.
The Wine Opener features wine-tasting stations by local wine shops, distributors, and/or wineries. The wines are paired with food stations where local chefs and restaurants prepare their specialties. The evening also includes entertainment, silent and mini-live auctions. For a $50 ticket, guests receive entrance into the event, all wine and food tastings, a keepsake tasting glass, and a tasting journal/event program. For a $75 ticket, guests will have access to the entire event including the V.I.P. Reception Area where finer wines and foods will be served. |
