So, as yummy as food is for eating, it can also be great for many other things as well. Here are a bunch of cleaning suggestions for some food items.

Suggestions from Linda Cobb in the June 20-26 TV Guide...

Vodka: "Removes mold and mildew from caulking in your shower and gets rid of residue at the bottom of flower vases"

Molasses: "Great for getting grass stains off of shoes"

Tang: "Put some in your toilet and let sit for 20 minutes, then swish and flush, your bowl will sparkle"

Nonstick cooking spray: "Coat the grille of your car before going on a long trip; when you get back, just hose off the bugs"

Olive oil: "Mix one cup with 1/4 cup white vinegar to make 'the best furniture polish you can find'"

Ketchup: "It takes tarnish off copper"

Gee, the only items I've got on that list are vodka & olive oil! :lol:

I sometimes use fresh lemon to remove the garlic smell from from my hands.
Here are some I've heard about but have never tried;

Raw meat placed on a fresh bruise. Enzymes in the meat are supposdly good to prevent serious discoloration. (Sorry, vegetarians. A tofu steak won't work!)

Soaking fish with strong odors(sardines, mackerel, etc) in milk to remove the smell before preparing.

My brother says he uses vodka to clean his skis.

I can only think that, for optimum pleasure, the mouth is the only orifice in which a strawberry could be placed... :?
