Once again, following through with my plan to eat more of the Healthiest Foods in the World, we had a salad for dinner with:
a mix that included spring lettuce, arugala, spinach, baby tomatoes, almonds and avocado. For dressing we just used a little mustard.
What are some of your favorite combinations for salads? |

Salad #2:
Watercress, Spinach, Romaine, Dark Green Leaf Lettuce, Alfalfa Sprouts, Sun Dried Tomatoes, 1 ounce Feta cheese, Quorn immitation chicken
Dressing (balsamic vinegar, honey mustard, rosemary, dill, paprika)
Mixed all together and shook it up! It's healthy and delicious. :D |

| I make it a point to eat a HUGE salad for lunch every day, even if I have to bring it in Tupperware to work! Today was julienned cabbage, a tomato, celery and a whole pack of daikon sprouts! Splash of extra virgin olive oil & balsamic vinegar on top! |

| Just tried soba (buckwheat) sprouts for the first time on my salad for lunch. No particular taste, but nice 'n crisp. The Japanese have been eating daikon sprouts & bean sprouts for years but are just now getting into sprouting other things- soybeans, broccoli and now buckwheat! My favorite is alfalfa sprouts, but are rarely available at stores. Too humid to grow your own either(mold grows quickly!).*sigh* |

| Too bad about the alfalfa sprouts -- we get them here in California and I like them. I've never tried broccoli sprouts. Do the taste like broccoli? |

| Can't say that I've actually tried the broc' sprouts yet(They're like $1.50 for a teeny weeny pack!) but I will. I really do miss the alfalfa sprouts! I used to buy HUGE sacks of them and eat them on my salads or in pita sandwiches every day. Oh, well. Daikon sprouts are a good substitute, they sell for only 30 cents a pack and have a bit of a bite to them! |
