You actually bring up something I wanted to touch on cocodrilo... how can soy not be included in any "healthiest" list??? Sure, if its a "healthiest foods I like" list it may not be there, but there just seems to be way too much research supporting the benefits of soy not to include it in any comprehensive listing.

Perhaps your list was compiled based on a typical western diet, which traditionally does not include soy products...

Who knows? Health powerhouses such as kiwis and blueberries didn't make the list either... Confused

Great list here!
I'm definitely going to try to improve my diet and use this list as a reference.

I was surprised to see figs. I thought they were loaded with sugar, but of course I am used to the dried, sugary variety. Laughing

Check out the countless reports claiming soy products protect against Alzheimer's. Also reduces(alleviates in some cases) menopausal symptoms reducing the need for questionably safe HRT(Hormone replacement therapy) for women.

Figs? BIG in Japan. I like the dried variety, but don't really go for the fruit. Gimme a banana any day!
